These are the " RULES " by which we have designed and built our vessels to meet. These are the most stringent regulations in the U.S. for touring passenger vessels.

We have designed the Hydra-Terra to be the safest vehicle / vessel ever built.

Our hull is 100% aluminum construction.

Our unique design provides the vessel with a positive displacement foam flotation system that will make the vessel float upright and on top of the water even if you pull the plugs out of the bottom. This vessel could have a hole torn into the bottom of it 2 foot square and she will still float. This is because our flotation foam is compartmentized and encapsulated in aluminum.

The Hydra-Terra has the best designed hull for amphibious operations.

Hydra-Terra has the greatest freeboard of any amphibian we have ever seen. The Hydra-Terra is able to take 6' sea's without any problem.                  

We have 4 foot plus freeboard.

The Hydra-Terra is designed with a true upward sweep as a boat should. This lifts the bow up and over a wave even if it exceeds 6' in height.

Our design is all new. This means we have the all of our weight and balance in our hull's original plans.   We built this vessel for this exact job. Since we haven't used any existing old hull we do not need added weight to balance.

My name is John Giljam, I have been designing and building specialty vehicles for all of my life. We have built all types of vehicles from ambulances and fire apparatus to oil field rigging trucks. We owned and operated a successful tour company on Hilton Head Island in South Carolina. This gave us a tremendous advantage in the designing of our Hydra-Terra line.

We believe it to be the most technologically advanced, safest amphibian ever built.
